San Cassiano Valpolicella Ripasso SUPERIORE
An Italian Valpolicella Ripasso, or 'Baby Amarone', wine using organically farmed grapes from vineyards in the Mezzane di Sotto hills, a little green paradise with cosy and well-worked slopes. Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes go through double fermentation and maceration on the skins of San Cassiano's Amarone to assimilate
colour and concentration. The result is a bold yet fresh and versatile Ripasso wine. Aromas of ripe red fruits and hints of mocha. The palate has full-bodied structure, lively acidity, notes of ripe red fruits and velvety texture. Try with simple pastas dishes, mushroom risotto, roasted vegetables or even antipasti.
